Deep inside a vast forest lived a mighty lion, feared by all animals. One afternoon, after a hearty meal, the lion lay down under a tree and fell into a deep sleep. Nearby, a tiny mouse was running about playfully. In his excitement, the mouse accidentally scampered across the lion’s body.
Startled awake, the lion roared angrily and trapped the mouse under his huge paw. Trembling with fear, the little mouse begged for mercy. He promised that one day, somehow, he would return the favor and help the lion in his time of need.
Amused by the mouse’s courage and doubtful of his words, the lion decided to spare his life and let him go.
Days passed. One morning, the lion was caught in a hunter’s strong net. He struggled fiercely, but the more he tried, the tighter the net became. His roars echoed through the forest.
Hearing the familiar voice, the mouse rushed to the spot. Without hesitation, he began chewing through the thick ropes with his sharp teeth. Soon, the net broke apart, and the lion was free.
The lion realized then that even the smallest creature can be a great help. From that day on, the lion and the mouse became close friends, respecting and helping each other.
Moral: True friendship is not measured by size or strength. Never underestimate anyone, for even the smallest can make a big difference.
