The temple was completed in 1986 and is a Baháʼí House of Worship. It is open to people of all religions, castes, and beliefs. The structure is made of white marble and has 27 free-standing marble petals arranged in the shape of a blooming lotus flower.

The temple is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and water pools, which add to its beauty and calm atmosphere. Inside the temple, there are no idols or images, and visitors are expected to sit quietly and meditate or pray in silence. The peaceful environment helps visitors relax and feel spiritually refreshed.
