Akshardham Temple is one of the largest and most beautiful Hindu temples in the world, located in Delhi. It was inaugurated in 2005 and is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan. The temple is made entirely of pink sandstone and white marble, without using steel or iron. The main monument is covered with thousands of detailed carvings of gods, goddesses, saints, animals, flowers, and scenes from Indian traditions.
The Akshardham complex also includes cultural exhibitions that explain India’s ancient values such as truth, peace, devotion, family unity, and respect for nature. The exhibitions use modern technology like videos, robots, and large displays to make learning interesting. A large cultural boat ride shows 10,000 years of Indian history, science, and education. In the evening, a musical fountain show presents inspiring stories from Indian scriptures using water, light, music, and fire, which attracts many visitors.
